Since its establishment in 1955, Toledo Gospel Rescue Mission has been dedicated to addressing the spiritual and physical needs of the homeless and low-income individuals in the Toledo and surrounding areas. In all that we do, we desire that the gospel of Jesus shine bright as we share his love with those we are privileged to serve.
In 2016, TGRM identified a great need to extend our outreach to mothers with small children, culminating in a strategic partnership for the renovation of a facility located at 703 Phillips Ave. This initiative aimed to provide housing for 21 families, and in 2021, the first residents were welcomed. Over the past three years, the walls of this facility have borne witness to the transformative impact of Jesus Christ on countless lives, and we give all glory to God for the opportunities afforded to us to be a part.
As we navigate transitions, embracing new life and vision, we witness the hand of the Lord at work in various areas of Toledo Gospel Rescue Mission. The Phillips Ave. facility stands as a pivotal chapter in our story, and we are thankful for the privilege of serving God in that space. Looking ahead, we are aligning our efforts by relocating the ministry of Rebekah’s Haven back to residences on 20th Street, closer to our central office and men’s shelter. This strategic shift reflects our commitment to fiscal responsibility and biblical stewardship, serving as a steppingstone into an exciting future for Toledo Gospel Rescue Mission and the individuals we are called to serve.
We remain committed to our mission and look forward to being a part of the transformative journey of lives touched by the gospel of Jesus through TGRM. May God bless and ever sustain you.
Sincerely,
Bonnie Fry Mahnke
